The MNSong Showcase will feature Minnesota-based performers presenting original music by MNSong composers and our MNDuo program will sing music written by local MN Composers including Linda Kachelmeier, Jonathan Posthuma, Scott Senko, Jayce Mulligan, and Timothy C. Takach.

Miami Clarinet performs a program of music for clarinet quartet including three world premieres! The program includes the premiere of my newest piece, Transitory Places for Clarinet Quartet
The piece is an exploration of the places I have been physically and mentally as I felt stuck in between two worlds while I was deciding whether or not to leave academia. I’m hugely grateful to Miami Clarinet and particularly Dawn McConkie for asking me to write this piece.
The Emporia Community Clarinet Choir will be performing a program of three pieces under the direction of Dawn McConkie. The program will include one my earliest pieces, Ice-9, in a newly revised version for 9 players.
Blair Hamrick will be performing a my piece Fólkvangr which I wrote for her in 2019 as part of the program for her final recital in pursuit of a DMA at Stony Brook University

The program features winners of the annual Meadows Concerto Competition, who are chosen to perform with the orchestra from a highly competitive field of talented Meadows undergraduate and graduate students. Highlighting the concert is the world premiere of Jason Mulligan’s They Come Through the Wires, a short work inspired by horror films, novels and games that takes the listener on a journey through anger, fear, anxiety, momentary relief and back.

The Sterling Trio presents their inaugural concert tour, The Edge of Oblivion. Alissa Roca, Brian Tracey, and Jason Mulligan perform Dominick Argento’s To Be Sung Upon the Water, excerpts from Ricky Ian Gordon’s Orpheus & Euridice, and two world premieres by Jason Mulligan and Steven Serpa.
